Remote First Aid Training
Comprehensive first aid and CPR skills for those who live, work, or recreate in non-urban or remote settings, including strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours.
Who this is for
Individuals who live or work in non-urban or remote workplaces or communities, or in a wilderness environment (2 to 3 hours from organized health care).
Completion Requirements
- Demonstrate required practical skills competently
- Pass written knowledge evaluation (minimum 75%)
- Meet applicable legislative requirements
- Attend and participate in 100% of the course

Richard King
Richard King is the owner and founder of Get Outdoors Safety and Survival Training. He focuses on practical, life-saving training that builds confidence for emergencies in outdoor and remote environments. Richard has supported community response efforts through volunteer search and rescue work, service as a Canadian Armed Forces reservist, and disaster management response. He brings real-world experience into training so students can apply skills when help is not close.
